6 years agoHouston Astros starter Wade Miley won for the fifth time in his last eight starts by shutting down the Orioles on Sunday in the Astros 4-0 win. Miley (6-3) twirled six shutout innings, striking out five hitters and lowered his ERA to 3.14 on the season. Miley has solidified the middle of the rotation for the Astros this season with veteran guile. The left-handed pitcher will give up the occasional home run (12 allowed in 80 1/3 innings) but is in line for plenty of wins with a high-powered offense playing behind him. Miley's strikeout totals do not necessarily excite fantasy owners but could help certain rosters in deeper leagues.--Joey C - RotoBaller
