3 years agoChicago Cubs left-hander Wade Miley (elbow) is dealing with left elbow soreness and will be shut down for 10 days. An MRI exam revealed some inflammation as well. There is currently no timetable for Miley's return, and he'll obviously open the 2022 season on the injured list. The 35-year-old veteran soft-tosser is likely to miss the first month of the season after entering camp behind the other starters. It's a hit to the southpaw's already low fantasy ceiling. In 11 major league seasons, Miley has struck out only 7.1 hitters per nine innings, although he has a solid 4.15 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 1,581 total innings pitched.
