2 years agoChicago Cubs left-hander Wade Miley (shoulder) will throw another bullpen session on Sunday. Miley will throw for the second time off a mound since going on the injured list on May 29 with a left shoulder strain. It doesn't look like the 35-year-old southpaw will be away from Chicago's starting rotation for long. Expect him to face live hitters at some point next week, and it remains to be seen if he'll need to make a minor league rehab start before he's activated. Miley only had 10 strikeouts in 16 innings pitched over his three starts this year, but he allowed only six earned runs while walking seven. The veteran lefty isn't attractive for any swing-and-miss ability, but he eats innings and can be useful as rotation depth in deeper leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
