3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler fell six outs short of throwing a no-hitter on Saturday versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Buehler was lights out and had a no-hitter that was broken up by David Peralta to open the bottom of the eighth inning. Buehler would then strikeout Pavin Smith and allow a single to Nick Ahmed that would end his night. Reliever Mitch White would then allow both inherited runners to score. Buehler would finish with a line of two hits, two runs, two walks and a season-high 11 strikeouts. Buehler has now gone 30 consecutive games without a loss and he is now 7-0 with a 2.38 ERA on the season. Buehler should be started by managers in every start he makes and his next matchup will be on Thursday versus the Chicago Cubs.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
