Walker Buehler Has Bone Spur Removed On Monday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler (elbow) had a bone spur removed from his right elbow on Monday. The bone spur is something the right-hander has been dealing with for a few years. He was diagnosed with a flexor strain over the weekend and has been shut down from throwing for 6-to-8 weeks. His timeline for a return remains unchanged, and Buehler is hoping to pitch again this season. The 27-year-old will not start throwing or playing catch until late July or the start of August. Buehler owns a 6-3 record, a 4.02 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 58 strikeouts over 65 innings this season. Andrew Heaney (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the injured list soon and will replace Buehler in the rotation once he returns.
