4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Walker Buehler was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday due to a blister on his pitching hand. Buehler was slated to start the second game of Thursday’s doubleheader against the Giants, with his replacement not yet being named. After lofty expectations preceded him coming into 2020, Buehler was unable to mow down hitters out of the gates like many expected. Flashes of his brilliance were evident his last time out when he amassed 11 strikeouts across six frames. He figures to now miss at least two starts due to the ailment, but will return to top tier season-long intrigue upon his eventual return.--Jesse Borek
