Walker Buehler Leaves Start With Rib Soreness
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler (rib) was pulled early from his start on Friday against the Braves. Manager Dave Roberts checked in with Buehler before his at-bat in the fifth inning as if there were some concern, and Buehler exited the game in the sixth after recording the first out. The move seems merely precautionary, as the young prospect was hit with a line drive in the ribs on May 21 and may still be feeling pain. It was a shame he had to be removed, as Buehler was cruising in his start, having allowed one run on two hits and no walks with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Fantasy owners should monitor his situation closely in the coming days, but it sounds like Buehler has avoided any serious injury.
