7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers top starting pitcher prospect Walker Buehler was optioned by the club on Monday. The move was expected despite his dazzling outing on Saturday where he struck out five batters in two innings. Manager Dave Roberts pointed out that Buehler will make one more Cactus League start. The team is saving him for the latter part of the season and possibly the playoffs, so the longer he's down in the minors, the less time rivals will have to look at him. He wasn't very good in his September call-up out of the bullpen last season, but he and his mix of four plus pitches are worth a stash if you have space on your roster.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
