2 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco (wrist) and outfielder Harold Ramirez (thumb) could be ready to resume taking live batting practice as soon as Friday. He underwent surgery to repair a fractured hamate bone in his right wrist mid-July. If everything checks out, the 21-year-old is expected to take some light swings on Friday and could face live pitching. Franco slashed .260/.308/.396 slash line over 58 games on the season to go along with five home runs, five stolen bases, 23 RBI, and 34 runs in 58 games before landing on the injured list.
