Wander Franco Moving His Rehab To Triple-A
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco (quadriceps) began his minor league rehab assignment for the Rookie-level Florida Complex League Rays on June 18 by going 1-for-4 with a triple as the designated hitter. He also went 2-for-3 with a double while playing six innings at shortstop on Monday. Franco will now have Tuesday off before joining Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. He'll be re-evaluated after that and could rejoin the Rays for their weekend series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 21-year-old star shortstop is nearing a return to the major league lineup, so fantasy managers should be excited. Franco hit .270 with four home run, 19 RBI and four stolen bases in 45 games before his injury, and he's a must-start in fantasy when he's healthy.
