6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes forward Warren Foegele and defenseman Dougie Hamilton each connected for two goals apiece in Monday's Game 3 victory against the Washington Capitals in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, as the home team sliced the series lead of Washington to 2-1. The goals were Foegele's first two career playoff markers. Each of Hamilton's goals came on the power play, as the Canes outshot the Capitals by a 45-18 margin. Foegele also chipped in with an assist for the three-point night. Game 4 is back in Raleigh on Thursday, as the Hurricanes attempt to square the series 2-2.--Daniel Dobish
