Washington Releases Steven Sims Jr.
3 years agoThe Washington Football Team released wide receiver Steven Sims Jr. on Monday as they begin to trim their roster with the regular season approaching. In his two seasons with Washington, Sims put up 61 receptions for 575 yards and five touchdowns. The former Kansas receiver had a promising rookie season but took some steps back in 2020 with the new coaching staff. He then saw his spot on the depth chart continue to fall this offseason as Washington added Curtis Samuel in free agency and Dyami Brown in this year's draft. Sims could be added by a team who is needy at the wide receiver position, and could potentially put up some solid numbers if he is given an opportunity to play meaningful snaps. For now, he can be disregarded in all fantasy formats.
