Washington Signs Kyle Shurmur To Practice Squad
3 years agoThe Washington Football Team has signed quarterback Kyle Shurmur to their practice squad after losing starter Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) for a potentially lengthy period of time. Shurmur has previously spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and was most recently cut by the Cincinnati Bengals ahead of the 53-man roster deadline a few weeks ago. This is purely a depth move, as Taylor Heinicke will be the starter with Kyle Allen playing the backup role. The 24-year-old will likely only be on the active roster if one of Heinicke or Allen were to miss some time.
