Wayne Gallman Effective In First Start
5 years agoNew York Giants running back Wayne Gallman filled in admirably for Saquon Barkley on Sunday, carrying the ball 18 times for 63 yards and a touchdown. He added 55 yards and a touchdown on six receptions. Gallman is not a tremendously skilled player, but he can contribute at average levels in a variety of areas, which was on display against the Redskins. He will take advantage of poor matchups like this, but he is unlikely to be more than an RB3 or matchup-dependent RB2 going forward. This is a positive development for those who spent big money on him this week, but you're likely not starting him next week against the Vikings.
