4 years agoNew York Giants running back Wayne Gallman ran for seven yards on four carries in a loss to the 49ers on Sunday. Gallman added seven yards on two receptions. Gallman was a healthy scratch before Saquon Barkley (knee) was injured in Week 2 and the team signed Devonta Freeman, so Gallman wasn't expected to carry the load like he was last season when he replaced Barkley. It may not matter who leads the New York backfield as the offensive line has been ineffective and the team has not been able to move the ball.
