7 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Welington Castillo, who has been serving an 80-game performance-enhancing drug suspension, will start his rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Friday. He's eligible to return to the team on Aug. 23. Omar Narvaez has done a good job with the main catching job in Castillo's absence, and the two will likely share time when Castillo returns. Castillo had hit .267 with six homers and 15 RBI in 33 games before his suspension. He had a career year with the Orioles in 2017, mashing 20 home runs.
