5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Wendell Smallwood received five carries and caught one pass, converting his touches into 41 total yards. The weather in this Week 7 contest ruined any potential Smallwood might've had to excel against a tough 49ers Defense with Chris Thompson out due to injury. The fact that he averaged 6.83 yards per touch despite all the external factors working against him should at least keep his fantasy window slightly open as long as Thompson remains out. His next opponent, should he remain the secondary backfield option, is Minnesota on a short week. There won't be any weather to worry about on the road against the Vikings, but the defensive matchup isn't much friendlier than the one he just dealt with.--Chris O'Reilly
