7 years agoKansas City Royals general manager Dayton Moore said that infielder Whit Merrifield won't be traded at the deadline. “I can’t predict the future. But certainly won’t be traded at the deadline. We need him in our city and on our team," Moore said. Merrifield certainly would've cost a lot, as he's been extremely productive on a bad team and is under team control for several more years. He's batting .302 with five home runs, 32 RBI, 21 stolen bases and 47 runs. He's a must-start in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
