White Sox Acquire Adam Haseley From Phillies
3 years agoThe Chicago White Sox are acquiring outfielder Adam Haseley from the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. There is no word yet on the return for the Phillies. Haseley, the eighth overall pick in 2017, was competing with Mickey Moniak in Philadelphia for the left-handed side of a center field platoon alongside Matt Vierling to open the season with Odubel Herrera injured. With the move to Chicago, Haseley is further down the outfield depth chart behind Luis Robert, Adam Engel and Leury Garcia. The 25-year-old will give the White Sox some outfield insurance in case Andrew Vaughn (hip) isn't ready for the start of the season. Haseley played in only nine games for the Phillies last year and struggled in his time at Triple-A as well.
