3 years agoThe Chicago White Sox have acquired second baseman Cesar Hernandez from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for Double-A left-handed pitcher Konnor Pilkington. The White Sox were rumored to be involved in trade talks for infielders Adam Frazier and Eduardo Escobar, but were outbid by the Padres and Brewers during the process. Hernandez is hitting .231 on the year with 18 home runs and 47 RBI and should be a regular at the second base position for the Pale Hose. Depending where he is slotted in the lineup, Hernandez should be able to score more runs with his new offense. Pilkington has a 3.48 ERA in Double-A this season and is a long-term option for the Indians moving forward. The White Sox don't appear to be done making moves and it has been rumored that they are looking for bullpen help with Richard Rodriguez, Ryan Tepera and Paul Fry being amongst the names they have checked in on.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
