4 years agoThe Chicago White Sox have sent infielder Danny Mendick to their alternative training site. The White Sox needed a bullpen arm for Sunday and Mendick was the odd man out. Mendick saw most of his playing time at shortstop when Tim Anderson was injured earlier this season, but hasn't played much of a role since then. The infielder is hitting .375 with six RBI in 16 at-bats this season. Even if he gets recalled, Mendick will need an injury to get playing time and would still offer minimal value to managers in all formats.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
