White Sox Place Andrew Vaughn On Injured List
3 years agoThe Chicago White Sox officially placed outfielder Andrew Vaughn (hand) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a bruised right hand and recalled infielder Danny Mendick from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. The injured list stint is retroactive to May 2. It's yet another injury blow to the White Sox. The 24-year-old hasn't played since he was hit on the hand by a pitch last Friday, but he could wind up missing just one more week. AJ Pollock will benefit the most in Chicago with regular playing time in left field, while Gavin Sheets and Adam Engel will continue to split time in right field. Vaughn should remain stashed in all fantasy leagues, as he was hitting a very respectable .283/.367/.566 with four home runs and 12 RBI in 16 games before suffering his hand injury.
