White Sox Reinstate Yoan Moncada From Injured List

2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox reinstated third baseman Yoan Moncada (hamstring) and left-hander Aaron Bummer (shoulder) from the injured list on Monday and optioned outfielders Adam Haseley and Mark Payton to Triple-A Charlotte in corresponding moves. The team also outrighted right-hander Tobias Myers to Charlotte. Moncada will return from his minimal stint on the injured list, but he's not in the starting lineup on Monday against the Seattle Mariners. Josh Harrison is getting the nod at the hot corner, but Moncada should play mostly every day for the White Sox at third base down the stretch. He's hitting a very disappointing .197/.269/.313 with seven homers, 40 RBI and 28 runs scored in 294 at-bats in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
