White Sox Rest Tim Anderson On Sunday
3 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will get a routine day off in Sunday's series finale versus the Chicago Cubs. The veteran has been hitting the ball very well of late to the tune of a .341 with one home run, six RBI and a stolen base over his last two weeks. For the season, Anderson is hitting .302 with 14 home runs, 53 RBI and 17 stolen bases. Anderson remains one of the most productive all-around shortstops in the game and with the White Sox finally have a healthy lineup, he should start to score more runs. Replacing Anderson on Sunday will be infielder/outfielder Leury Garcia. Garcia will bat ninth in a tough matchup versus Kyle Hendricks and can be avoided in DFS this afternoon.
