2 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers (knee), who missed the last two games with right knee inflammation, is getting close to a return. Myers ran before the game on Monday, and manager Bob Melvin said he'd be available off the bench, although he never entered the 6-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. The 31-year-old could be back in the lineup as soon as Tuesday against Cardinals right-hander Adam Wainwright. Myers has compiled a .242/.285/.317 slash line so far this year with only one home run, 19 RBI and 13 runs scored in 130 plate appearances over 31 games played. Jose Azocar got the start in right field for the second straight game on Monday with Myers sidelined.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
