5 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers went 3-for-5, including a walk-off single, on Sunday against the Colorado Rockies. Myers played the hero, knocking in third baseman Manny Machado to clinch the game in the 10th inning. The embattled Myers is riding an eight-game hitting streak, going 13-for-24 (.542 average) with three homers and 11 runs-plus-RBI, raising his OPS from .696 to .748. Sunday was his second consecutive three-hit game. While the 28-year-old has mostly struggled this season, the streaky Myers is currently on a roll. For the year, he’s hammered 17 homers, stolen 14 bags and collected 98 runs-plus-RBI. He’s a worthy start while swinging a hot bat.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
