2 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers (knee) could begin a rehab assignment next week, according to manager Bob Melvin. The 31-year-old slugger has been sidelined since June 3 due to inflammation in his right knee. Myers decided to go the rest route over having surgery. He has been able to take batting practice and doing some running drills without any issues. It sounds like the next step is having Myers take some at-bats in the minors.
