Wil Myers Goes Yard In Cincinnati
3 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers walked and popped a solo homer in three plate appearances Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Myers went back-to-back with Trent Grisham in the second inning as the Friars mounted a comeback victory in a rain-shortened contest. The 30-year-old owns a .252/.324/.420 slash with nine homers, five steals and 52 runs-plus-RBI in 253 plate appearances. With the trade deadline looming, it's possible the Friars add a left-handed bat to platoon with Myers in right field, who owns just a 106 wRC+ this season. While he tends to run hot and cold, Myers should remain a viable fantasy option as an OF4 as long as he's playing daily.
