Wil Myers, Luke Voit Activated And Starting Tuesday
3 years agoThe San Diego Padres reinstated outfielder Wil Myers (thumb) and first baseman/designated hitter Luke Voit (biceps) from the injured list on Tuesday. Myers is back in right field and is hitting fifth on Tuesday against Chicago Cubs left-hander Wade Miley, while Voit will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth. Myers has been out the last two weeks with a bruised right thumb. He was off to a slow start with a .218/.254/.273 slash line and a 32.2% strikeout rate to begin the year, and he's still searching for his first homer. Voit went on the IL on April 23 with a biceps injury. The 31-year-old power hitter was also ice-cold before his injury, and he went 0-for-18 with 12 strikeouts during a five-game rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso. Fantasy managers should play Myers/Voit at their own risk now that they are back in the majors.
