Wil Myers Powers Padres Past Pirates
4 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Myers accounted for all but one of the team's runs in the 6-2 victory, including a two-run blast to dead center off reliever Luis Oviedo in the sixth inning to put the Friars up for good. The scorching-hot 30-year-old has been the Padres best hitter through 11 contests, slashing .359/.444/.692 with three homers, a steal and 19 runs-plus-RBI across 45 plate appearances. He's looking like a heist at his OF3 draft value.
