Wil Myers' Redemption Tour Keeps Rolling On
4 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday’s victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 29-year-old stayed hot, pounding a first-inning offering from starter Madison Bumgarner into the stands before later singling. Through 60 plate appearances, Myers has gone yard five times with 21 runs-plus-RBI and a steal while slashing .278/.350/.667. While he’s still striking out at a 36 percent clip, Myers has supplemented a .346 BABIP with a phenomenal 23 percent barrel and 47 percent hard-hit rate. Drafted as an afterthought in fantasy, Myers is now tough to bench in leagues of any size.
