6 years agoSan Diego Padres manager Andy Green said that outfielder Wil Myers (oblique) is close to returning and could rejoin the team over the weekend in San Francisco. Myers has been sidelined since April 29 with a strained left oblique and has only appeared in 10 major league games this season. He is currently on a rehab stint with the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas and has had some success with a .300 average, one home run, and three doubles through five games. Myers is a talented player who can hit for power and drive in runs. He should be a consistent source of offense for the second half of the season.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
