4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith is expected to catch around 90 games in 2021, per manager Dave Roberts. Smith is expected to split time once again with fellow backstop Austin Barnes- with Roberts noting that he would put that combo up against any in the league production-wise. Smith has certainly flashed some offensive upside as a catcher, with 23 home runs in and an 11.9 percent career walk rate in two seasons with the Dodgers. Judging by his 51.9 percent fly-ball rate and 20.7 percent HR/FB rate- the power seems to be something that Smith can sustain even with a less lively baseball. He's getting picked outside the top-100, where he should return good value.--Tim Capurso
