3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith will get a day of rest on Thursday versus the Chicago Cubs. Smith has been swinging a hot bat of late and is hitting .294 with four home runs and eight RBI in his last 34 at-bats. On the season, Smith is hitting .269 with nine home runs and 27 RBI. Smith has been one of the more productive catchers this season and will be replaced by backup catcher Austin Barnes on Thursday. Barnes will bat eighth and is hitting .233 on the season with three home runs and 15 RBI. Barnes will face Zach Davies on Thursday evening and is 1-for-8 in his career against the veteran right-hander. Davies has struggled this season and Barnes is an intriguing option in DFS with a limited numbers of teams playing on Thursday night.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
