William Byron In Real Trouble At Bristol
3 years agoWilliam Byron may be that one driver who just gets into trouble early in the playoff chase and never quite climbs out. This is the third year where he is up against it. Last year, he did not get to the Round of 12. Bristol does not help matters this year. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver has just one top-10 (eighth) in six appearances on the asphalt incarnation of the track. The short track has just not been kind, and in last summer's race, he crashed out early. Finishing on the lead lap just twice does not bode well for the No. 24 car. He starts 14th on Saturday and may even fall back a bit at first. That's not good.
