Willie Calhoun Could See Second Base Time
5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun has done some work at second base in recent days, and could also start doing some third base work as well. This development would seem to be a damning statement on incumbent second baseman Rougned Odor, who has hit a dreadful .189/.259/.369 in 2019. Calhoun is unlikely to be any good defensively at second, if he ever even plays there, but this is still a potential plus for his future fantasy value as well as a hit to Odor's already-falling stock. It's a situation that bears continued monitoring, especially once Hunter Pence returns from the team's injured list.
