Willie Calhoun Drives In Three On Wednesday
4 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun came through late and spurred his team to a comeback win over the Seattle Mariners. Calhoun was 0-for-3 as he stepped into the box in the seventh inning, where he blooped a fly ball between the infield and outfield to score Shin-Soo Choo. Then, in the eighth, Calhoun stepped up and added some insurance runs for Texas with a two-run single. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, and hopefully, Wednesday's performance will kick start Calhoun's 2020 season. The left-hander has seven RBI in his last eight games but is still batting .190 with a .479 OPS and zero home runs on the year. Calhoun is a hold in 12-team leagues because of the potential, but it would be understandable to see him on the waiver wire in 10-team points leagues.
