4 years agoTexas Rangers designated hitter Willie Calhoun (groin) went 2-for-4 during his first game action of 2021 as the club fell 6-1 to the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday. He had been on the 10-day injured list while recovering from a groin injury suffered in the spring. Calhoun has been working out at the club's extended spring training site since late March and also appeared in one game at the Rangers' alternate training site. Last season for the club, Calhoun struggled mightily at the MLB level and produced a 32 wRC+. He also missed significant time in 2020 with injuries. The 26-year-old was hit in the face by an errant pitch in March, which broke his jaw. He also suffered oblique and hamstring injuries.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
