Willy Adames Struggling Early On
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Willy Adames has struggled so far for Triple-A Durham with a .233 batting average, but there shouldn’t be too much concern for the 22-year-old. Adames has hit at every level he has been at and has a great eye for the strike zone. He has also hit ten or more home runs and 25 or more doubles over the past two seasons. At the shortstop position and given his all-around ability, Adames is a must-own in dynasty leagues and worth monitoring in mixed leagues. He currently the number 22 prospect according to MLB.com. With the Rays unlikely to compete deep into the season, Adames should get his name called on at some point this summer.
