Willy Adames To Begin Rehab Assignment Sunday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (ankle) is set to begin a minor league rehab assignment and will play for Single-A Carolina on Sunday before joining Triple-A Nashville for games on Monday and Wednesday. Adames is rehabbing from a sprained left ankle, and there's a chance that he could rejoin the Brewers after two rehab games with Nashville next week. The 26-year-old has produced plenty of power from the shortstop position (nine home runs and 24 RBI), but he's hitting only .208 (27-for-130) with a .304 on-base percentage in 148 plate appearances over 35 games for the Brew Crew. With Adames sidelined, Luis Urias has moved over to the 6, with Jace Peterson serving as Milwaukee's primary third baseman.
