Willy Adames Won't Be Activated This Weekend
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (ankle) participated in batting practice and took grounders but won't be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of this weekend's series against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 26-year-old will continue to ramp up his activity and look to return to action next week. He's been sidelined since May 16th with a high left ankle sprain. Luis Urias will handle shortstop duties while Jace Peterson and Mike Brosseau will continue to see an uptick in at-bats with Adames sidelined. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Adames on their bench after the Brewers shortstop slashed .208/.304/.462 with nine home runs, 24 RBI, and a stolen base over 35 games in 2022.
