Wilmer Flores Doubles In First Rehab Game
6 years agoNew York Mets infielder Wilmer Flores (back) has almost been a forgotten man with all the injuries the team has suffered, but he should be back with the Amazins in a matter of days. Out since May 27 due to back soreness, Flores began his rehab assignment with High-A St. Lucie on Tuesday. He finished 1-for-3 with a double while also playing five innings at third base. It’s a nice start for Flores, who could finally be the man to replace infielder Jose Reyes from the Mets roster upon his healthy return. Flores won’t be an everyday fantasy option, but he makes for a nice play in DFS formats when facing a left-handed pitcher.
