6 years agoAccording to New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway, the return of injured infielder Wilmer Flores (back) is “imminent.” Flores has been out since May 27 due to back soreness, and he began a rehab assignment with High-A St. Lucie this past Tuesday. Flores isn’t going to be a savior for the Mets offense, but he’ll certainly be a help. The question here is, does the return of Flores finally signal the end of Jose Reyes’ second tenure as a Met? With a .139/.213/.203 slash line, one would certainly hope so. Upon his return, Flores won’t be an everyday fantasy option, but he always serves as a fantastic cheap DFS option when facing a left-handed pitcher.--John Smith
