Willy Garcia Dealing With Hand Issue
7 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Willy Garcia (hand) has been limited with a hand issue that he developed in winter ball, according to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times. Garcia got some run in the outfield in the second half of 2017. He hit .238 with two home runs and 12 RBI over 105 at-bats. He will have an opportunity to make the roster, but everyday at-bats will be unlikely. Avisail Garcia will employ right field, while Nick Delmonico and Adam Engel are the favorites for left and center field. In addition, he will be competing with Leury Garcia, who is expected to be in camp Monday, and Charlie Tilson, who is recovering from both ankle and foot injuries. Willy Garcia will need a lot to go his way to make an impact. Aside from daily leagues, he should safely remain on the waiver wire.
