2 years agoX-rays on New York Yankees catcher Jose Trevino's foot came back negative on Friday night, according to manager Aaron Boone. "He got through the inning catching, and then he was pretty beat up, so I didn't want to push him. So, we'll just see what we have moving forward," Boone said. Trevino was hit on the foot by a fastball on Friday against the Oakland Athletics, but he appears to have dodged a bullet and should be considered day-to-day. Expect Kyle Higashioka to get the start behind the plate on Saturday against Oakland. Trevino made the All-Star squad for the first time in his career in 2022 and has been strong for the Yanks with the bat, hitting .271/.309/.429 with 10 home runs, 37 RBI, 37 runs scored and two stolen bases in 92 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
