2 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (hand) exited Tuesday's game against the Astros in the ninth inning after getting hit in the hand by a pitch. However, X-rays were negative for fractures, per MLB.com's Anne Rogers. The 22-year-old had gone 2-for-5 with a single, a two-run home run, three RBI, and a strikeout prior to exiting the game. The negative X-rays are a positive sign for fantasy managers, but additional testing may be needed due to Witt Jr.'s hand swelling. He should be considered day-to-day and fantasy managers should keep on the look for further news in the coming days.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
