X-Rays Negative On Giancarlo Stanton
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (ankle, foot) fouled a ball off the top of his ankle/foot and was removed from the game early on Monday against the Minnesota Twins, but skipper Aaron Boone said that X-rays came back negative. Stanton initially stayed in the game before exiting in the eighth inning. He went 0-for-3 in the contest while serving as the designated hitter before departing. Fantasy managers should consider the 32-year-old slugger to be day-to-day for now, but don't be surprised if he's not in the starting lineup on Tuesday. Entering Monday's game, Stanton was slashing .216/.300/.457 with 24 home runs, 64 RBI and 40 runs scored in 324 at-bats this season.
