2 years agoSeattle Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said that X-rays on rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez's hand were "negative and he's going through ongoing assessments in Houston as we speak." Rodriguez was hit by a pitch on the hand on Saturday against the Houston Astros, but fortunately he didn't break anything in his hand. There's still a good chance he won't be in the lineup for the series finale against the division rivals on Sunday, but it looks like the young star won't have to miss extended time. The 21-year-old Dominican slugger made the All-Star team in his first MLB season and is hitting .271/.334/.482 with an .816 OPS, 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 55 runs scored and 21 stolen bases in his first 96 MLB games. J-Rod can do it all and is a must-start when he's in the lineup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
