X-Rays Negative On Trevor Story
2 years agoX-rays came back negative on Boston Red Sox second baseman Trevor Story (hand) and left-handed reliever Matt Strahm (wrist) on Wednesday after they were both injured on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Story was diagnosed with a right hand contusion after he was hit by a pitch. The 29-year-old slugger should be considered day-to-day, but don't be surprised if he's not in the starting lineup on Wednesday. Story is slashing just .221/.289/.423 in his first season with Boston, but he is giving plenty of counting stats to his fantasy managers with 15 home runs, 58 RBI, 49 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 342 plate appearances and 81 total games. Check Boston's lineup later on Wednesday to make sure he's playing.
