X-rays Turn Up Negative For Kris Bryant
3 years agoX-rays on Chicago Cubs infielder/outfielder Kris Bryant (hand) turned up negative following Tuesday's loss to the New York Mets. Bryant was hit on the hand by opposing starter Taijuan Walker in the top of the first inning. Bryant initially went out to play defense and wanted to stay in the game, but the Cubs elected to play it safe and removed their star player before the bottom of the first inning began. It's a big sigh of relief for Bryant managers with his injury being listed as a right hand contusion. Bryant remains day-to-day and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him rest in Wednesday's series finale.
